Step aboard the iconic Redondo Special and enjoy a classic Southern California sportfishing experience in the beautiful Santa Monica Bay. With over 60 years of operation and a friendly, hardworking crew, this trip is perfect for anglers of all experience levels.
What We Fish For (season dependent):
White seabass, yellowtail, halibut, calico bass, bonito, sheephead, lingcod, vermilion & mixed rockfish, sand bass, barracuda, whitefish, sculpin and more!
Where We Fish:
Local coastal hotspots off Palos Verdes such as Rocky Point, the deep water around the nearby Redondo Canyon, and various surrounding nearshore reefs and wrecks - all areas known for steady action and diverse species.
What To Expect:
- U.S Coast Guard certified vessel staffed with knowledgeable and experienced crew eager to help beginners and seasoned anglers alike.
- Full-service galley serving hot food & cold drinks (and the best cheeseburger on the coast!).
- Bait will be provided (including LIVE BAIT when available!)
Important Information:
- A valid California fishing license is required for anyone 16 or older.
- Trip requires a minimum of 10 paid reservations.
- Fishing licenses, rod rentals, and tackle (not included) are available in the office.
- Fish cleaning service is available on board. CASH ONLY for fish cleaning, galley, etc.
- Child fare is 12 and under. Senior fare is age 65 and older. Military fare requires proof of service.
- Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, ice chests, coolers, firearms, and explosives may not be brought on board.
Parking:
Our passengers have 2 options for parking:
- Pay $2/hour at the kiosks conveniently located in various locations throughout the parking lot.
- Purchase a one time use parking pass in the office when checking in. $5 for half day/full day trips and $15 for overnight trips. CASH ONLY. Pass must be placed on vehicle dash and is good to use in the open air lot by R10/boat hoist and the structure lot off Harbor & Pacific.
Refunds:
- If the operator cancels the trip due to weather, unforeseen circumstances or insufficient reservations, passengers have the option to receive a full refund, reschedule to another trip or have credit toward a future trip.
- Refunds will NOT be given for no-shows.
